One of my favorite pieces of advice that I ever got in my quest for becoming a budget fashionista was to only invest in pieces that you can wear anywhere. If the hangers in your closet are occupied by versatile clothing, chances are you’ll cut your shopping budget in half. And we know my theory on that.
I’m pretty obsessed with Rompers lately. It’s like, Am I in the mood for pants today? Does this look like I tried?
They’re the perfect go-to for catching up with girlfriends over wine, browsing the aisles of the farmers market on Saturday morning, or sitting in a coffee shop, as I do most mornings, nose-deep in my MacBook and Vogue concurrently.
In the cooler months, a romper like this one, especially long-sleeved, can be kept on heavy rotation by pairing it with black ribbed tights and ankle booties.
Okay. Let’s talk about this cassette tape bag, though. It’s by Culture Riot, and I actually won it from one of my favorite bloggers ever, Jenna Colgrove at Visions of Vogue, through an Instagram contest she was hosting. 365Hangers was generous enough to sponsor the giveaway, and I’m totally obsessed with it.
The straps are detachable, so you have the option of wearing it as a clutch or a cross-body statement piece. It’s so cute that I very rarely like to put anything in it. I use it for hands-free, minimal crap carrying days…like for wine tasting. Or brunch. This one is unfortunately sold out, but I found you guys a similar one by MyLux on Amazon! If you’re interested in other Culture Riot clutches, they have a Car, a Shotgun, and Lipstick still left. So cute!
These velvet bow heels have basically become a weekly guest on Cotton and Cabernet, and I’m not even ashamed. They’re so comfy, so sweet, and just over $30.
