So today is actually my birthday (Yipee! 24!) and part of my new age resolution is to take a little bit better of my skin. It seems to be a goal of mine every year, and so as I’ve gotten older I’ve started to develop a bit of a morning routine, especially now since I can see a wrinkle or two. Since today is Day 1 of my new year, I figured I’d start bright and early this morning and let y’all in on my secrets.
Twice a week, I skintox (that’s skin + detox… a term I coined) with my Blue Clay Mask by Herbivore. I know, I know… it says spot treatment. Try it on your whole face. Swear. You won’t regret it. I only use Herbivore because it’s one of the few skin care companies that never tests on animals and it’s so gentle. (My skin is so sensitive.)
I get all of my Herbivore products exclusively from Fly Away Blue Jay boutique- it’s like the online version of the cutest little Ma + Pa-feeling store that carries all of the most amazing handcrafted goods from independent artisans around the world.
I especially love Fly Away Blue Jay because I can order a smelly good candle and their amazing chapsticks while I’m stocking up on my skin care. This has become a thing… my morning coffee, a clay mask, a little Stevie Nicks to start my day, and some good lip moisture. This particular mask is Cambrian clay, which is a little bit stronger and extra balancing. (But they also have a pink clay mask!) I’ve always battled with a little bit of rosacea and the blue clay slowly starting to suppress it. While it’s drying, I usually moisturize with my Jacho Rose Lip Butter, which keeps my lips soft and plump. Ugh…It’s like crack for my lips!
I’ve been so excited to tell you guys all about this shop! I literally can’t stop ordering online. (As if I needed somewhere I could buy skincare, jewelry, accessories, and candles all at once.)
