Okay, so good news… take a deep breath… I found scented shoes for you guys. And I’m not joking.
This is scent-sational.
Dad jokes aside– do you guys remember that scene in Legally Blonde where Elle turns in her resume on pink scented paper? (Oh, and signed with a glitter gel pen, nonetheless.) Ok, well, this is the non-law school version of that combined with all of my childhood dreams. SCENTED SHOES!
I mean, we all know that jelly flats are notorious for making your feet stink. Like, I’m almost thoroughly convinced that my feet don’t even sweat, and somehow they still stink in jelly shoes. I actually gave up on them for a long time. So in my opinion, it’s about time a designer came out with scented shoes. My whole family thinks I’m a freakin’ weirdo because I kept shoving my red patent in their face. I think they instantly viewed me as a toddler when I started yelling “Smell! Smell these!” wildly with my shoes on both my hands.
But, I mean… I also think they were secretly really impressed.
Another thing about jelly shoes- I’ve never actually found a pair that was comfortable. Is that just me? They’re just usually too hard or pinch or just generally inflexible. But these are made of a super soft jelly and they’re making my feet seriously happy. And how cute is the patent leather and gold heart?
Ok– so here’s the deets. They’re $49.97 and don’t come in half sizes, but they run a half size small so it works perfectly. I’m a true 8.5 in basically any shoe ever made, so I went with a size 9 in these and they are PERFECT. No gap, no rub, no problems. I linked them at the end of this post!
For those of you who have children… here they are in kid’s sizes, too. I apologize in advance if this creates any fights in your house.
I wore these flats as a pop of red in an otherwise casual outfit. These Paige jeans are on clearance at Nordstrom rack now. I can’t stress enough that even if you’re a budget fashionista, you should always spend the MOST money on your jeans. You don’t even have to spend over $100– but you’ll wear them so much that calculating your cost per wear is really worth it. Bags, shoes, tops you are always changing, so inexpensive is fine– but always have ONE pair of premium denim in your closet, and then supplement the rest of your wardrobe with cute jeans you won’t wear as often, like from Forever21.
I picked up this Kate Spade bag last year at the Carlsbad, California outlet mall during the friends and family event. I linked a similar one at the bottom that isn’t on sale YET– but bookmark it, because it’ll have a 30% off coupon code attached to it when the sale rolls around again!
I hope you guys are having an amazing week- stay tuned for more budget friendly style tomorrow! I can’t guarantee anything will be scented, but I promise I’ll try my darndest not to disappoint you.
